TRACIE CHING

ILLUSTRATOR, VECTOR ARTIST

Living and working in Washington, DC, Tracie Ching is a self-taught digital artist specializing in complex, graphic portraiture. Her work often involves a limited palette – a tendency-turned-style after years of working in the medium of silkscreen prints.

While commissioned for a wide range of projects including commercial athletic apparel, editorial illustration, and gallery work, Tracie Ching is best known for her alternative movie posters. VIEW SITE

Bob Ewing

LETTERER, DESIGNER AND ILLUSTRATOR

Bob Ewing is a hand lettering artist, designer and illustrator. He first introduced his lettering chops by sharing daily custom hand lettered words on social media. With a prolific body of work, Bob has mastered a unique style of bold, curvy and sharp lettering. Bob is a strong believer in artistic development in schools. He co-founded INCH x INCH, a monthly button subscription. Proceeds go to art programs in K–12 schools. VIEW SITE

Dan cederholm

CO-FOUNDER DRIBBBLE

Dan is the co-founder of Dribbble, owner and maker at Advencher Supply Co., and founder of SimpleBits. He previously worked with YouTube, Microsoft, Google, MTV, ESPN, Electronic Arts, Blogger, Fast Company, and more. Dan has written five books on the craft of creating websites. He collects hobbies and is a dad in real life. VIEW SITE

CALEB LUDWICK

CREATIVE DIRECTOR, BRAND STRATEGIST / 26 TOOLS

Every great client, every project, every award, that Caleb has won has been through collaboration with talented designers. 15 years ago he was a PhD student starting out in copywriting, pairing up with art directors. Today he calls himself a "brand voice guy," working with UX designers to unearth simple truths and connect business with creativity for clients like Square, IDEO, Food TV, and Dalit Freedom Network. VIEW SITE

Julia Robbs

PHOTOGRAPHER

Julia Robbs is a commercial and lifestyle photographer in New York City. She grew up in the French Alps, and has also lived in Atlanta, Chicago, and San Francisco. 

Curiosity for the world and adaptation is as much a theme in her life as it is in her work. Working both in studio and on location for clients in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries has led to a diverse and varied portfolio.  Her projects have taken her on shoots all over the world, including Spain, France, Ireland, England, and all across the United States. Although she has no acting experience, you may have recently seen her in a Jaguar commercial. VIEW SITE

JASON CRAIG

DESIGNER / ILLUSTRATOR

Southern gentleman with a midwestern work ethic based in Augusta, Georgia. For the last twenty-two years he has worked as a full time graphic designer and illustrator for screen printers, sign shops, large format printers, alt weekly newspapers, advertising agencies and music festivals. He has even spent some time coloring comic books for DC and Disney.

Jason’s work has been published in PRINT Magazine and HOW and has won numerous Addy awards and an AIGA InShow award. Jason also spends time speaking, judging Addys and is President of the Augusta, Georgia chapter of Adfed. VIEW SITE

The Vector Machine

A Path to better Beziers with Bob Ewing

You’ve been practicing your hand lettering skills with pencil & paper, but what’s next? In this workshop we will fine tune your inner vector machine and transform those analog ideas into functional digital artwork. You will leave with tips and tricks to masterfully create vector artwork and have the rest of your life to practice.

Bring your Laptop with Adobe Illustrator, Power cord and a sketch of a piece of lettering to vector (we will provide if you don’t have one to bring).

You'll learn tips and tricks from 26 Tools' work with corporations, start-ups, and nonprofits, but the real focus is hands-on building your own brand. Come with a pencil and paper, an open mind, a willingness to laugh, and curiosity about what you can dream up in 90 minutes
